Introduced in 2001, the Amp energy drink was born, distributed by PepsiCo under the Mountain Dew brand. This beverage was made with their base trade flavor formula. The reason for the launch was to compete against Red Bull.
The AMP energy drink is available in 8.4oz, 16oz, and 24oz cans. The ingredients contain ginseng, MDX5, B vitamins, maltodextrin, guarana, and taurine. This energy drink's overdrive was established early 2007 with an added flavor of cherry.
AMP is the only energy drink that has MDX5 to boost your oomph. It has a similar taste as Mountain Dew but with more of a citrus kick and little hint of green tea. It typically gives the drinker a nice boost of energy in the beginning.
